With competitors releasing the best of the bests, GMC has no plans of staying behind and watching them steal the show. The automotive giant has recently released an upgraded version of the stellar GMC sierra 2500. This particular 2022 version makes the truck a whole lot cooler.

In this post, we've dived into the details and brought together everything you should know about GMC Sierra 2500. Let’s dive in!

Is the GMC Sierra 2500 a Good Truck?

At a glance, the GMC 2500 (2022 upgrade) looks no different than the previous one. It appears bulky with a heavy-duty front and gigantic dimensions. The full-sized truck follows the same redesign as the 2021 model.

However, there are slight changes in the models of the GMC Sierra 2500 range. The Pro features 17-inches steel wheels with LED running lights for daytime, whereas SLE has 17-inches alloy wheels with MultiPro tailgate and EZ lift feature. Things get much cooler in the high-end options of the range.

The SLT has 18-inches alloy wheels with LED cargo bed lights, and AT4 gets gloss black mirror caps. You will find the best upgrades in Denali that include polished exhaust tip, LED roof marker lamps, and 20-inches polished alloy wheels.

With a lavish exterior, the GMC Sierra 2500 has a luxurious interior too. The well-padded, adjustable seating allows you to accommodate several people at once.

As for performance, the GMC Sierra 2500 leaves all competitors stunned with its flawless, smooth driving. It packs a V8 diesel/gas engine that produces 445-horsepower and 910lb-ft torque. The truck functions outstandingly even after stress and pressure.

What’s New in the GMC Sierra 2500 (2022 model)?

As mentioned, the 2020 version of the GMC Sierra 2500 range hasn’t experienced drastic changes. However, even the minor ones are worth praising. For example, we have all other metallic colors discontinued except for the new Forest Metallic color.

How Much Does a GMC 2500 Truck Cost?

Surprisingly, the price of the GMC Sierra 2500 isn’t quite high-end. While the truck is premium in all aspects, it remains affordable in price. The Sierra 2WD Regular Cab Long Bed comes at around $36,700.

Meanwhile, the SLE is available at $42,100 and SLT at $52,100. The price shoots up for the advanced models, like Denali ($66,000). Please note, this price is excluding taxes, registration, etc.

What is the Difference Between a GMC 2500 and 3500?

Often, people confuse the GMC 2500 with 3500. The two models offered by GMC possess identical appearances and functionalities. However, there does lie a few noteworthy differences.

The GMC 2500 has a design suitable for everyday usage. Its roomier interior, slimmer outlook, and robust engine work wonders for almost everyone.

But, the GMC 3500 completely outshines it in terms of towing and hauling capabilities. It can haul twice the load. Hence, the truck is suitable for intensive work purposes.
